70s meets medieval in this production of Once Upon a Mattress! This set called for the combination of many painting styles - the semi-realistic look of the brick flats, the cartoonish stone on the flats, and the disco floor complimented by a symbol of the kingdom that this world lives in. With having such a tight paint schedule, using cardboard brick that was textured with sand and spackle and painted before our allotted load-in time was the best method.
